Live streaming and TV options for 2026 season
The free-to-air television network announced the news in September 2024, alongside confirmation that they have also secured the rights for the 2030 edition of the tournament.
All 104 matches, including the final on Sunday, 19 July, will be shown live across their network of linear and digital channels, including Antena 1, Antena Stars, Antena 3 and Antena Play.
It will be the first time that Antena has held the rights to the World Cup, but they are expected to cover the tournament extensively. Live matches will come with Romanian-language commentary attached, while post-match analysis and interviews are also anticipated.
Away from live match coverage, Antena will publish highlights and replays across their network of channels and also on social media.
For live and on-demand World Cup streaming in Belgium, fans can enjoy free access to Antena Play. This platform is available online via web browsers, while it can also be downloaded for free as an app onto iOS and Android devices.
There is a suggestion that the broadcaster is considering sublicensing some games to other networks in Belgium to recoup some of the money they spent on the rights. Watch this space.
