Live streaming and TV options for 2026 season
The deal, which covers the majority of Sub-Saharan Africa, was agreed in the summer of 2025 and means that the majority of World Cup matches are on pay-TV in the region, just as they were for the 2022 Qatar World Cup. The broadcaster is required to sublicense 34 matches from the tournament to a free-to-air provider, which equates to one match per day.
New World TV's coverage of the 2026 FIFA World Cup is being shown on their pay-TV channel and their dedicated streaming service, also called New World TV. This can be downloaded as an app in Sub-Saharan Africa, but a subscription fee is required to gain access to live content, including World Cup matches.
All 2026 World Cup coverage on New World TV is in French.
New World TV airs World Cup matches on New World Sport 5, New World Sport 6, New World Sport 7, New World Sport App, New World Sport1, New World Sport2, New World Sport3 or New World Sport4.
RTI will show a select number of matches from the tournament, including the final on Sunday, 19 July at MetLife Stadium. Coverage will be spread across their catalogue of channels, including La Premiere and La 3.
All 2026 World Cup coverage on RTI is provided in the French language. In years gone by, this has been provided by a team of journalists and former players, including Rach N'Guessan Kouassi and Ricardo Xama.
RTI’s coverage goes beyond live matches. Regular news bulletins will keep fans up to date with the latest stories from the tournament, while their social media channels are expected to post match clips and other World Cup content.
In the Ivory Coast, users can stream the 2026 World Cup live and on-demand on RTI Play. This streaming service is available for free and can be accessed either through a web browser or via an app, which can be downloaded for free onto iOS and Android devices in the Ivory Coast.
