Vidio is an Indonesian streaming service owned and operated by Surya Citra Media. The platform was launched on October 15, 2014 with the aim of providing user-generated content and become YouTube’s version for Asian citizens. Since its launch, the platform has become one of the most popular in Southeast Asia with over 3,000 active users reported.
Over the years, Vidio has added to its offer a wide variety of entertainment options for their users, which have included sports, children’s programming, movies, news, music, lifestyle, anime, education, and more. The platform maintains its user-generated content approach, but other companies and TV channels have also provided content to stream as time has gone by.
Speaking about sports, Vidio has provided access to disciplines such as football, basketball, badminton, volleyball, and more. While there has been content from domestic competitions being available for streaming, the platform has included international tournaments to satisfy their user’s demands.
