Chelsea fans can be forgiven for wanting Antonio Conte to stay forever at Chelsea, given that he delivers trophy. The Italian has guided the Blues to what will soon be another Premier League title, rejuvenating a few key players along the way – namely Costa, Hazard, Pedro, and Mosses.
However, the former Juventus boss’ time at Stamford Bridge might already be numbered. This is according to reports from his home country Italy, which claim he could switch clubs as early as this summer.
Tuttosport write that the Chelsea boss will return back to Serie A to coach a new club next season. That team will be none other than Inter Milan, Italy’s fallen giants.
According to their report, Conte has already agreed to a deal with the Nerrazzuri – worth £12.75m-per-year. The duration of that contract will be four years, and it will see the Chelsea boss replace current manager Stafano Pioli.
The Italian club have even made contact with Roman Abramovich over compensation for letting Conte go despite there being another two years left on his Stamford Bridge deal. Antonio will be given healthy funds for the transfer market, which he felt he didn’t get at Chelsea.
Alexis Sanchez could be a target, with Suning Holdings Group not afraid to hand Conte cash to spend. That, accompanied by the fact that his family miss Italy, are Tuttosport’s biggest argument.
