Televisión Pública is a free-to-air television channel in Argentina that is more commonly known as 'TVP'.The channel was first launched back in 1951 as LR3 Radio Belgrano Television, and it has since gone through several name changes. Most recently, it was named Public Television Argentina from 2016 to 2020, when it was rebranded as Televisión Pública.
Since its launch, the channel has predominantly focused on providing households in Argentina with free programming related to sports, culture, education and news.
Live football has played a prominent role throughout the channel's history, as it has frequently held the rights to broadcast live coverage of the FIFA World Cup. Televisión Pública can be watched live on linear TV via channel 7 on terrestrial TV. Alternatively, it can be streamed through the TV Publica app, which can be downloaded for free onto iOS and Android devices in Argentina. All programming on Televisión Pública is broadcast in Spanish.
