EPL Matchday 10 - Soccer TV listings printable guide
Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and titleholders Liverpool must put their Football League cup exit in midweek behind. It is time for Matchday 10 of the English Premier League!
The previous round of fixtures ended with the controversial Sunday clash between the Red Devils and the Blues at Stamford Bridge. After succumbing to Chelsea’s wrath in the Capital One Cup on Wednesday, Alex Ferguson and his men will be looking to steal the top spot in the EPL for at least a few hours.
Manchester United will host Robin van Persie’s former club, Arsenal, in Saturday’s lunchtime kick-off. The hosts are currently second in the standings with 21 points – one less than leaders Chelsea. Arsenal, meanwhile, moved up to sixth last weekend. Victory could see them go up to fourth.
Regardless of what happens in the first match of the day, Roberto Di Matteo’s side will remain first in the English Premier League race with victory away to Swansea. Fourth-placed Spurs will also try to minimize the four-point gap that separates them from third-placed Manchester City. The latter will close Saturday’s action with a meeting against West Ham United.
Two matches will take place on Sunday, one of which will feature Liverpool at home to Newcastle United. The Merseyside Reds could not defeat Everton last weekend. Therefore, they are still in the second half of the English Premier League table while Newcastle United are 10th with 13 points.
West Bromwich Albion will face Southampton on Monday night.
