About BT Sport ESPN
BT Sport ESPN is part of a group of sports channels airing content in the UK and Ireland. It is owned by BT Group since August 1, 2013. This channel was originally launched and owned by ESPN on August 3, 2009, and BT’s purchase of this channel led to its current rebranding.
This channel’s main focus over the years has been to broadcast American sports such as Major League Baseball, National Hockey League games, and American College sports. Furthermore, BT Sport ESPN has also been used as an overflow channel to BT Sport 1, BT Sport 2, and BT Sport 3, when more than one live event needs to be covered.
BT Sport ESPN has also aired previously some pre-season football games featuring Real Madrid and other top-notch teams in Europe. Other sports covered by BT Sport ESPN include tennis, rugby, boxing, NBA and WNBA basketball.
BT Sport ESPN is available in the UK via most pay-tv carriers in the region. It is frequently included in BT Sport’s pack, which also may include BT Sport 1, BT Sport 2, BT Sport 3 and BT Sports Box Office. Furthermore, BT Sport ESPN can be viewed online via authentication provided by some of those pay-tv carriers mentioned above.
