The Dutch take on the Chileans in a bid to secure top spot in Group B.

Silky, smooth and resolute can be three words associated with the Dutch. While Australia exposed plenty of weaknesses at the back which the Spaniards did not, Netherlands still managed to come out on top, 3-2.

The individual talents in this Dutch team are enough to overwhelm any team which stands in their way. Arjen Robben, with his third goal in this tournament got the party started. However, Australia scored two in reply. When Robin Van Persie equalized for 2-2, it seemed like there would be only one winner. The source of the winner though was an unlikely one in Memphis Depay.

The Chileans did not have nearly as much trouble as the Dutch, beating Spain 2-0 in a very disciplined display. They secured qualification with one match to spare. The Chileans had shown signs of what they are capable of in 2010. Now, everyone is starting to recognize them as a genuine dark horse. The Chileans can add fuel to that particular fire by recording a result against the Dutch.

Both teams are set to line up in the formations they have used so far, 3-5-2. In fact, 3-5-2 seems to be a bit of a trend in this tournament with quite a few teams using it. The Dutch attacked in numbers against Australia and lost their shape at times. They were much more disciplined against the Spanish, especially in the first half of that match. Netherlands allowed Australia to counterattack almost immediately after a few of their attacks. They cannot afford to do so against a Chilean side which can counterattack perfectly.

The Dutch attack are capable of breaking down the Chilean defense although this team is going to offer the flying Dutchmen the most resistance in the group stages. The Dutch will be missing their captain, Robin Van Persie, due to suspension.

Chile has only conceded one goal; this came against Australia in the first group match in a 3-1 victory. In this match, they will perhaps not attack as much as they did in their opener. They will perhaps sit back and wait to capitalize on the opportunities they will definitely get when the Dutch move forward.
