The Egyptian Premier League (Arabic: الدوري المصري الممتاز) is the highest professional association football league in Egypt. It was established in 1948 and is run by the Egyptian Football Association (EFA).
The league operates on the promotion and relegation system and is contested among 18 teams. Clubs from the competition are eligible to participate in the annual CAF Champions League and Confederations Cup.
