Serie A title holders Inter Milan completed a remarkable comeback on Friday night to keep their dream of retaining the league title running. The Nerazzurri fought hard inside the Giuseppe Meazza to secure a 4-2 win over Empoli despite conceding the first two goals early on.
Andrea Pinamonti, who is on loan from Inter, opened the scoring for the visitors under just five minutes, firing the ball past Samir Handanovic at the near post. 23 minutes later Kristjan Asllani doubled the lead for Aurelio Andreazzoli's men from an electrifying breakaway move, leaving the home fans and the hosts stunned.
However, the advantage did not last for long as Simone Romagnoli's own-goal in the 40th minute will give Inter the deserved lifeline before Lautaro Martinez ensured parity with scoring his 18th goal of the season on the stroke of half-time. The Argentine was called upon once more in the 64th minute to score his side's third of the night before substitute Alexis Sanchez sealed the win with the final goal of the night.

The result moved the defending champions back into first position, with just a point separating them and title rivals AC Milan.
