Serie A - Matchday 36 overview

Juventus will come into their game having secured their spot in the Champions League final. Thanks to a 4-1 aggregate win over Monaco, the Bianconeri will take on defending holders Real Madrid in Cardiff next month as they aim to end their 21 year wait for a European title. La Vecchia Signora will have a very busy few weeks ahead. Following Sunday's clash with Roma, Juventus will take on the Giallorossi cross-town rivals, Lazio in the finals of the Coppa Italia. As such, Massimiliano Allegri will have to decide carefully whether to rotate his squad somewhat for this game, or whether to field a full strength starting XI.

If things go according to Juve's plans, they could be celebrating two titles in a matter of a course of a few days. Of course, Roma, who are seven points behind, are determined to delay those title celebrations and surely will be loath to allow this to happen at the Stadio Olimpico. With Napoli nipping at their heels, the Lupi will not want to drop points here as third place means they will again have to secure their spot in the Champions League via a potentially tricky play-off.

Speaking of Napoli, they face a struggling Fiorentina on Saturday. Atalanta will hope to secure their spot in next year's Europa League as they welcome AC Milan. The Rossoneri have been in a funk as of later, and some are starting to wonder if they just want to avoid finishing in sixth place so as not to have to start their campaign in July. Milan's city rivals, Inter, also have been in bad form lately and parted ways with coach Stefano Pioli following their loss to Genoa last weekend. The Nerazzurri kick off Sunday's fixtures with a clash against Sassuolo.

Finally, will Crotone be able to avoid the drop? They welcome Udinese in a must-win tie, whilst Empoli will be very desperate to keep the Squali at bay as they travel to face Cagliari.
