Bundesliga - Matchday 25 overview
With a 10 point lead, Bayern already have one hand on the Bundesliga title. No team in history has managed to capitulate in the title race with such a massive lead, and the way that Carlo Ancelotti's side have dominated the league thus far, no one will obviously be betting against die Roten from making it an unprecedented fifth straight title this May. The Bavarian titans, who will be awaiting their Champions League quarter-finals draw, will be in action on the road against Borussia Moenchengladbach on Sunday to wrap up matchday 25.
Meanwhile, RB Leipzig take on Werder Bremen, also away from home. Die Bullen have tried to stay in the title race for as long as possible, but they have been punching well above their weight and the general feeling was that they would run out of steam. After all, they were only founded by corporate giants Red Bull in 2009, making this their first ever Bundesliga campaign, so to qualify for the Champions League - which they should - is an impressive achievement in itself.
Dortmund, who are in third, will hope to rebound as they take on Ingolstadt. Thomas Tuchel's men are also looking forward to who they will be facing in the next stage of the quarter-finals. Die Schwarzgelben cruised to a comfortable 4-0 home win over Portuguese outfit Benfica to book their spot, and they could end up taking on Bayern in a Klassiker tie, Italian giants Juventus, Spanish titans Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, or Real Madrid, as well as reigning Premier League champs Leicester or a high flying Monaco. In the meantime, they will be seeking to recover from a surprise loss last weekend as they prepare to host relegation candidates Ingolstadt on Friday.
