Preview: After a superb match against Celtic, Neymar looks to continue his good form

When Barcelona's Champions League match kicked off on Wednesday, Neymar had yet to score a goal in Europe's most prestigious club competition. After the final whistle was blown, the Brazilian star walked away with the match ball, and a hat-trick to boot.

On Saturday, Neymar will look to add to his four La Liga goals, along with his eight assists. On the other side of the pitch attempting to stop the Blaugrana will be a Villarreal side that is currently fifth with 28 points, 12 less than their opponent.

Prior to Barcelona's 6-1 victory over Celtic, Tata Martino's side had been struggling. They suffered their first league defeat against Athletic Bilbao, and also lost in Amsterdam against Ajax. With Real Madrid only three points back, and goal difference being the only thing separating them from Atletico Madrid, Barcelona cannot afford another below average performance.

Coming to town will be former Barcelona player Giovani Dos Santos, who expects the hosts to be fully focused on grabbing all three points in front of their home crowd, where they have won all seven home league matches.

"Barcelona always have a great team, even when they are going through a rough patch as has been suggested," Dos Santos said on Villarreal's official website.

"They still have great players, and for me, are the best team in the world. I guess the league defeat stung their pride a little, and now they want to react, as we saw on Wednesday. They could come out with more energy and more anger in this match at home," he added.

Unbeaten in their last four league matches, Villarreal will respect the Blaugrana, but will not fear them, according to Dos Santos.

Tata Martino is also aware of Villarreal's unbeaten streak, which has caused him to make sure his players are not complacent on Saturday.

"Our ultimate goal is to play better, and I think we are getting there," said the Barcelona manager. "The game against Villarreal is obviously one against a very strong team, so we have to be focused. We had to get out of or run of two successive defeats, we had to recover, but we've managed that and put on a great performance against Celtic, which was the most important thing."

The hosts will be without Dani Alves and Adriano due to injury, but will welcome back Cesc Fabregas from suspension.

Barcelona's back four has the best defensive record in the league, along with Atletico Madrid with only nine goals conceded. They will be put to the test on Saturday, when they go up against Uche and Dos Santos, who both have six goals each.
