The UEFA Women's Champions League final is one of the must-see games of another upcoming exciting week in women's football.

This week is set to be a very interesting one in women's football. In the NWSL, one team currently has the lead, but only by a one point margin, with four teams in hot pursuit. Interestingly, several of the teams all battling for top spot will be facing off, meaning that things could look at lot more interesting by the time the dust settles.

Meanwhile, the latest UEFA Women's Champions League final is set to get underway as both teams aim to get their hands on the coveted prize.

Here's all you need to know ahead of another week of women's football.

UEFA Women's Champions League

On Saturday, June 3rd, the 2022/23 UEFA Women's Champions League final will get underway. The Philips Stadion in Eindhoven will serve as the venue as Barcelona and Wolfsburg battle for the chance to become champions of Europe.

Barcelona are hoping to win their second title and first since the 2020/21 campaign. The Blaugrana cruised to yet another Liga F title, but shocking suffered a loss to Madrid on the final day that marked their first defeat in Liga F action for nearly 2 years. That was their last game prior to this one, and it will be very interesting to see how Jonatan Giráldez's team react in their first match in nearly two weeks.

As for Wolfsburg, die Wölfinnen last won it in 2014, and will be looking to make it a third title. The German side made history in 2013 and 2014 by becoming the first team to successfully defend their Champions League crown, and after narrowly missing out on the Frauen-Bundesliga title as Bayern Munich won it by two points, they will be hopeful of banishing that disappointment by winning something even bigger than the league title on Saturday.

The league standings have changed once again after last round. As of matchday 10, Gotham FC have moved to top spot in the table, but that certainly could change after the end of this upcoming round, especially how congested things are so far. In fact, there are four teams who are just one point behind Gotham, all sitting on 16 points, and depending on the outcome of this weekend's matches, fans might see a new leader emerge.

Gotham will be taking on San Diego Wave on Sunday. The Wave, who have 16 points, are one of the four teams just one point behind Gotham, meaning that this game could present a great chance for them to reclaim top spot in the table. Meanwhile, Saturday will see a range of crunch clashes, starting with a derby meeting between OL Reign and Portland Thorns, who also have earned 16 points and sit in third and second spot. (Curiously, over in the MLS, the same derby will be played out between Seattle Sounders and Portland Timbers). Given that this game will take place a day earlier, one of either OL Reign or Portland Thorns could move to the top of the table before Gotham's upcoming tie with the Wave.

Finally, Washington Spirit are the fourth team (along with San Diego Wave, OL Reign, and Portland Thorms) who have picked up 16 points and are another contender to knock Gotham out of top spot. They will be hosting Racing Louisville, who are currently in ninth spot on 10 points on Saturday.
