Arsenal will have to fight a vital battle at home to Partizan on Wednesday night. Fortunately enough for the Gunners, defender Laurent Koscielny has been deemed fit for this Champions League match.
The French player had suffered an “unnecessary” foul last weekend as he clashed against his team mate, Sebastien Squillaci. At first, Koscielny was thought to have sustained the kind of injury that would have seen him miss some weeks of action. However, recent reports explain that the Gunner may even start against Partizan on Wednesday night.

“Koscielny has been declared fit to play, and he will play tomorrow,”

Coach Arsene Wenger told the media. The manager then went on to give more details about Arsenal’s squad ahead of their Champions League match:

“We’ll lose Djourou, because we’re a bit cautious with him. He could have played with a risk, but we didn’t want to take a risk.

“Emmanuel Eboue comes back into the squad. The rest will be the same as against Fulham.”

Talking about Robin van Persie’s contribution on Wednesday, Arsenal’s Arsene Wenger concluded.

“I have not decided the starting line-up [for the Partizan match]. But it’s a possibility [that Van Persie will be given the start].”
