Leipzig are still at the top of the Bundesliga with 27 points, hoping to clinch the coveted title in their first season, and end the dominance of Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund. Speaking of Bayern and BVB, the two foes follow each other neck to neck in the race for the league title.
The Bavarians sit at the second spot with 24 points, having won two, drawn two and lost one of their last five league fixtures. The Yellow Submarines, on the other hand, are third with 21 points, having drawn three and won two of their last five league fixtures.
And as the Bundesliga reaches its 12th round of matches starting from this Friday, all eyes will be on the top half of the table where five teams are tied with 21 points. At the bottom half of the table, most of the teams are separated by a maximum of two points and that makes the title race even more interested.
