PSG eliminated Chelsea for the second straight UEFA Champions League edition, and one of their key performers in their Round of 16 series against the Blues was Angel Di Maria.
The player, who joined Les Parisiens after an unsuccessful stint with Manchester United, shared his views on helping the Ligue 1 champions defeat Chelsea for the second time in just two weeks.
"We're very happy. We've shown what we can do and I think we deserve to be here. This is where all the hard work from the ongoing season seems to be paying off," Di María told reporters after the game concluded.
In fact, the former Real Madrid and Man United wingman revealed what has been the key to recover his old form.
The Argentine also had time to talk about one of his former teams: Real Madrid. "El Fideo" analyzed Los Blancos' current squad, and even revealed he wants them to keep moving forward in all competitions.
"I don't think Real Madrid needs players like me. They've got some experienced players that show their quality day in and day out. Some of them were very expensive and they are just showing what they can do. I wish them the best, I left many friends over there," Di María added.
Real Madrid and PSG will have to wait until next week to find out who they will face in the tournament's Quarter finals, after battling each other to win Group A of the competition.
