Apertura leader Estudiantes visits the Monumental to secure the Apertura title.
There are only six points in play and Estudiantes has been able to maintain a two-point advantage over runners-up Velez Sarsfield, who humiliated Godoy Cruz in Mendoza last week.

Pincha's striker Gaston Fernandez has played a major role in the last few games, scoring six goals in the last 9 weeks. Estudiantes will have to do without Juan Sebastian Veron and Enzo Perez.

Independiente's game will be rescheduled for the near future as Antonio Mohammed's Diablos will be locking horns with Goias for the second-leg match of the Sudamericana final.

Velez hosts Huracan in Liniers. The visitors are highly compromised with the relegation fight and a victory is mandatory to lift their spirit and obtain every possible point in the last two games.

If Velez fails to secure the three points, Estudiantes can become the new champion. Will they succeed?

All Boys has not won a single match away in the whole tournament but their flawless performance in Floresta has been enough for All Boys to occupy the 8th position with 25 points. Pablo Morant's Lobos are stuck in the basement and will have to struggle hard to recover upon another defeat at the Forest.

Gimnasia's coach will have to do without Milton Casco (sent off last week against Racing) as well as Fabián Rinaudo and Jorge Córdoba, both of them struggling with injuries. Lucas Castro is likely to become the main driver for this game, responsible for feeding Claudio Graf to stop Pepe Romero's Albos from taking the full scoring.

Jose Romero will be missing defender Cristian Vella and Matías Pérez García, as both of them finished last week's game physically compromised. To make things even worse, Carlos Casteglione might not be able to perform as he has not recovered as expected from a sprained ankle.

Newly promoted All Boys needs the three points to secure their future in the Primera Division while Gimnasia must win to start their recovery. Who will succeed?

Gustavo Alfaro's Viaducto host Fernando Gamboa's Sabaleros on Tuesday's night in great need of the full scoring as River Plate and Racing are lurking only one point below Arsenal in the positions table and won't hesitate on claiming the third position upon a false move.

Colon lost the last two games and such adverse results have left los Sabaleros far from the top fight, standing in the 12th position with 23 points. River took the three points last week in Santa Fe with a last minute goal and delivered a fatal blow to the morale of Fernando Gamboa's players.

Arsenal will be missing Luciano Leguizamon due to injuries for the two last Apertura games. Matias Alustiza will be taking over his place joining team's top striker Mauro Obolo in the attack.

Viaducto's midfielder Cristian Leiva will be unable to perform as he received his fifth yellow card in the last game. Jorge Ortiz seems to be the natural replacement for Leiva in the midfield.

A decisive clash between two powerful rivals, who'll claim the three points?

River's new coach J J Lopez has only known success with his squad and will be taking the hardest of tests this Wednesday at the Monumental, when Alejandro Sabella's Estudiantes visit River eager to secure the first position for another week.

The visitors will be missing two key players as team's captain Juan Sebastian Veron and Enzo Perez will be unable to perform. Marcos Rojo and Gabriel Peñalba might not be able to perform and this leaves Sabella with only a few alternatives to sharpen his weapons for an early final.

Michael Hoyos is likely to take over Veron's position as playmaker while Raúl Iberbia will be joining the back line if Rojo is not able to perform.

The situation is radically different for River Plate. Team's captain and experienced midfielder Matias Almeyda might be ready to return to the starting squad. Young Eric Lamela score his first goal in the Primera Division last week and will be leading the attack with Mariano Pavone, who's been decisive in the last Millonarios victories.

River opened a four-point gap from Huracan in the fight for the category and must avoid a defeat at home to leave the bottom fight behind in the next Clausura. The leader can secure the title if Velez fails to defeat Huracan, will they make it?

Ricardo Gareca's Fortineros are aware they cannot concede a single point in these last two games. Velez's coach will be deploying his whole artillery in Liniers against Huracan, who has lost the last five consecutive games.

Velez will be missing a key player for this clash as Augusto Fernandez has resented a leg injury that will keep him from performing. Ricky Alvarez is likely to take over his place, joining Maxi Moalez in the creative department.

Emiliano Papa won't be able to lead the advance from the left wing, but Gareca recovers Fabian Cubero in the back line. Globos' defenders should look after Santiago Silva and Juan Manuel Martinez with great caution: having scored 11 and 9 goals respectively in 17 games, their performance is likely to have a major impact in the development of the game.

Things have not worked out as expected for Miguel Brindisi in Parque Patricios. The derby against San Lorenzo back in October was the last victory of the team, that's been left in the risk zone by River Plate, who's climbed four points above their heads.

Velez and Huracan are going through two totally different realities and the result of such clash is impossible to predict. Will Velez defy Estudiantes' leadership upon a victory?

Godoy Cruz has secured its presence in next year's Copa Libertadores while Racing struggles to claim the fifth place against Newell's, Independiente and Lanus. Unbeaten in the last eight games, Miguel Angel Russo's Academia must face a test of fire this Wednesday in Mendoza.

Omar Asad's Tombas received a bucket of cold water during the weekend as Velez defeated them 4-0 at their own home. Godoy Cruz suffered the absence of Nicolas Olmedo and Zelmar Garcia. Tomba's coach will have to come up with an idea to replace them as Racing can overwhelm the hosts if they show any doubt in the defense.

Racing's coach must accept Claudio Yacob and Marcos Caceres will not be available for the last two games of the tournament. At least Matias Martinez has evolved favorably from his injuries and will be taking over Roberto Ayala's place in the back line.

Gabriel Hauche and Claudio Bieler have created a prolific partnership with Giovanni Moreno in the attack, responsible for most of the goals scored in the last few games. Patricio Toranzo has grown as the main engine in the Academia, scoring a beautiful goal in last week's victory.

Godoy Cruz visits All Boys next week in Floresta while Racing takes on Velez in Avellaneda. A victory is mandatory for both sides, who'll make it?

Banfield obtained only one point in the last five matches and such disappointing performance have left them far from the top fight, occupying the 15th position with 19 points.

Roberto Pompei's Xeneizes celebrated an important victory over Quilmes and joined Clausura champion Argentinos in the 10th position with 23 points.

Taladro's top striker Ruben Ramirez might not be able to perform while team's captain Víctor López is likely to return to the back line. Substitute Gabriel Mendez might be given a shot to join Ramirez in the attack over Jeronimo Barrales.

Boca's coach might be missing Juan Insaurralde in the defense as he finished last week's game injured. Lucas Viatri, on the other hand, might be fully fit to perform and it leaves Pompei with a difficult decision, as Martin Palermo and Sergio Araujo have both shown to be necessary for the Xeneizes to lead the attack.

The winner will have a shot off the lower half of the positions table. Much more than three points are in play for both sides, who'll claim the full scoring?

Quilmes suffered its first defeat under Leonardo Madelon's command last week against Boca Juniors and must return to victory if they want to avoid an almost secure relegation the next semester.

Cerveceros' Miguel Caneo and Francisco Cerro are likely to be ruled out with injuries and this will greatly undermine Quilmes' firepower. Cerro has played a major role in the last two victories at home and Quilmes' attackers might be lost without him.

Ramon Diaz will have to do without Sebastian Luna (injured) and Juan Manuel Torres (with a gastrointestinal complication). Cuervos' striker Sebastian Balsas, who was decisive in the first half of the tournament, might return to the starting squad for San Lorenzo's trip to Quilmes.

Quilmes and San Lorenzo must secure the victory to heal their wounds before the final match. Who'll take the three points?

Argentinos' winning streak was stopped last week by leader Estudiantes and Pedro Troglios' Bichitos Colorados will have to start all over this Thursday as Gabriel Schurrer's Granates visit the Diego Armando Maradona.

Lanus missed a perfect chance to join the Libertadores fight as they received Independiente's alternate squad in the south during the weekend but they could not beat Hilario Navarro's goal.

Seven points in three games is the promising record of Schurrer as Lanus' new coach, who'll be taking a test of fire against Clausura reigning champion in La Paternal. Argentinos had the upper hand over Estudiantes in the weekend as young Ciro Rius score the opener, but they could not keep up with Pincha's face and faced a sound 3-1 defeat.

Lanus has claimed only three points in the last four matches played away. A victory might take them to the 4th position with some assistance from their neighbors. Are they ready to defeat Argentinos at their own home?

Having lost only two games at home this season, Roberto Sensini's Lepras host Olimpo on Thursday's night in desperate need of the three points to claim the last Libertadores place. Omar De Felippe's Aurinegros must take the three points back to Bahia Blanca if they want to finish the season above the relegation line.

With only three points in the last four games, Olimpo has not been able to keep with Huracan and River's pace in the fight for the category and must make its best in these last two games as every single points means a world for newly promoted Aurinegros.

Newell's will be missing their top playmaker Mauro Formica, as well as Ivan Borghello, both of them banned from performing. Luciano Vella and young Daniel Salvatierra are the main candidates to take over their positions for this week's clash.

Olimpo's coach De Felippe will introduce a single modification on his formation as David Vega won't be able to perform struggling with injuries. Cristian Villanueva will take over his place, allowing Olimpo to maintain the same 4-3-1-2 formation that makes the best out of Martin Rolle's finesse.

Sebastian Longo and Roberto Brum are other alternatives to sharpen the attack against a powerful rival. Will they find success in Rosario?
