After Real Madrid’s bashing of the Germans, Roy Keane praised Ronaldo reminding the public that only a Ballon D’Or winner could come back after a serious injury and score twice against former Champions League winners.
Roy Keane and Ronaldo had played together at Man United a decade ago. Surprisingly they only won an FA Cup together, over Millwall. However, the Irish player always knew Ronaldo’s worth and mutual respect between the two culminated in a hug after Los Blancos secured a spot in the Champions League final.

According to the former Man United midfielder, Real Madrid made a “bargain” by buying CR7 when they did, as he is the only player in the world who can keep up with 4 times Ballon D’Or winner, Lionel Messi. To confirm that, Ronaldo beat Messi’s record, by scoring 16 goals in the Champions League…so far.
