Chelsea's asking price for Pulisic revealed

Chelsea's asking price for Christian Pulisic revealed amid Juventus' interest

September 26, 2022 By Oscar Rojas
The winger was not able to leave the Blues during the summer window, but Chelsea would be keen on letting him go after the FIFA World Cup.

Christian Pulisic came close to leaving Chelsea in the summer transfer window, but the Blues decided to keep hiim around to see how things go with him in the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Now, reports coming in from England state that the 2021 UEFA Champions League winners have slapped a price tag on the player to see him leave right after the quadrennial competition.

The former Borussia Dortmund footballer could very well leave the club if any of the teams interested in his services come up with a bit over $35M to meet Chelsea's asking price. Judging by how much money Chelsea spent on hiring the player (over $60M), it seems that the Blues are ready to cut their losses when it comes to parting ways with Pulisic.

During the summer transfer window and according to recent reports, Pulisic has been named as a top priority for Juventus, although the team's recent financial statements suggest that the bianconeri may end their pursuit of the player. Nevertheless, there is still hope for the winger's future, as Leeds United and Newcastle have also shown interest in hiring the American ace.

Out of those clubs, it seems that Pulisic could feel more at home if he chose Leeds, since the player would team up with some of his USMNT teammates such as Tyler Adams and Brenden Aaronson. Furthermore, the team is coached by North American boss Jesse Marsch, the former RB Leipzig coach.

Either way, it seems that time is running out for Pulisic to show his worth in the Premier League. While having a proper performance in the World Cup may change his fate, it seems that watching him leave for pastures new is only a matter of time.
