Analysis
City’s Premier League title challenge seems to flounder almost every week. City was poor against Southampton. The 3-1 loss really hurt them. City’s recent form has been poor. They are not participating in European competition; however, they have not been able to use the added freshness to their advantage. City, despite their huge squad, seems to lack energy at times unlike Manchester United.
Leeds is coming into this one on the back of three poor results. After beating Tottenham in a match they were not favored to win, Leeds went on to lose to Cardiff and Middlesbrough and to draw against Wolverhampton Wanderers in their league. Leeds is currently eleventh in the English Championship. Curtis Main was sent off for Middlesbrough at the weekend in the 87th minute. However, it was too late for Leeds to be able to take advantage.
City is expected to win this game; however, an unexpected Leeds victory would not be too big of a shock due to the current form of the side from Manchester.
