Day two of the Copa America quarterfinals stage will kick off with Uruguay clashing against Colombia at Estadio Nacional de Brasilia on Saturday at 6 p.m. ET.

Two of South America’s strongest sides meet in the third game of the Copa America quarterfinals stage. Peru and Brazil advanced to the semifinals after defeating Paraguay and Chile, respectively. Argentina and Ecuador will see each other out at 9 p.m. ET to conclude the quarterfinals.

Uruguay arrives at the match after back-to-back wins against Bolivia and Paraguay, keeping clean sheets in both games. La Celeste finished second place behind rivals Argentina in Group A, accumulating seven points from two wins, one draw and one loss.

On the other hand, Colombia is coming off consecutive losses against Brazil and Peru. Disappointing 2-1 losses against Brazil and Peru left Los Cafeteros in third place behind the two.

Uruguay leads the all-time record between the two sides 20-9-13, according to 11v11.com. Uruguay defeated Colombia 3-0 in a FIFA World Cup qualifying game in November 2020. Moreover, Colombians last defeated Uruguayans in June 2014.

Edinson Cavani – Uruguay

Striker Edinson Cavani is just one goal away from going level with Argentina’s Lionel Messi in the scoring leaderboard. The 34-year-old scored a goal in each of Urugay’s wins. Uruguay will rely on his eye for goal.

Juan Cuadrado – Colombia

Winger Juan Cuadrado has one assist to his name in this edition of Copa America. The Juventus player was responsible for the cross that met winger Luis Diaz’s overhead kick against Brazil. If Cuadrado is on his A-game against Uruguay, Colombia has a good chance of making it to the next round.
