Mexico vs Honduras - Team news

After one of the worst performances for any El Tri version, changes are expected by coach Jaime Lozano to try and turn things around. The two-nil loss to Honduras last Friday will force Lozano to search for other options up front, which may include using striker Henry Martín and fellow América footballer Julián Quiñones. Other names ready to step up are Uriel Antuna and Luis Chávez, who had a positive effect for Mexico during their time on the pitch last Friday, even if they were not able to turn things around for Mexico. Another thing to keep in mind will be the name guarding the net, as Guillermo Ochoa will not be around to help Mexico. Luis Malagón and Julio González seem to be the options for Lozano in this do-or-die clash.

As for Honduras, the team leading this tie should keep things fresh and just like they did on Friday, and they will be able to shock Mexico and the entire region by booking a spot in next year's Copa América. The team is expected to field the same team that claimed their two-nil win last Friday, with strikers "Choco" Lozano and Luis Palma as the main offensive weapons in this tough match at Azteca Stadium, a venue that does not hold fond memories for La H.
