The international break is finally over, meaning that fans will be able to enjoy club football once again.

What to watch in women's football: September 28th to October 1st
NCAA
For fans of college soccer, they will have plenty of games to follow over the next few days. Fans in the USA can follow many of these games via live streaming through ESPN+ and the ESPN App, which also provides games from the ACC Network. Additional live-streaming options also include fuboTV, while the SEC Network will also be carrying some games on TV and live-streaming is also accessible through SEC Network +.

NWSL
Things are still pretty congested in the NSWL, where several teams, including San Diego Wave, NY/NJ Gotham, and North Carolina Courage are all in contention to potentially knock current league leaders Portland Thorns off their perch, who hold a slender lead with 32 points earned so far. In fact, even OL Reign (fifth, 27 points) and Washington Spirit (sixth, 26 points), will be also hoping to make a late push for a higher spot in the table. As such, this weekend's matches will be quite intriguing, especially Saturday's tantalizing clash starring Portland Thorns and San Diego Wave at 10.30 pm EST.
WSL
Fans of English football can finally celebrate this weekend, as the 2023/24 WSL season gets underway. It's set to be an action-packed Sunday, with all six games taking place over the span of a few hours. It all begins with Aston Villa taking on title hopefuls Manchester United at 7.30 am EST. Then, an intriguing tie will certainly be on the cards as Arsenal and Liverpool lock horns, with that match starting at 9 am EST, followed by West Ham and Manchester City squaring off at 10 am EST. Finally, the day will end with reigning title holders Chelsea looking to kick off their defense as they host Tottenham at 12.30 pm EST.
D1 Féminine
France's top flight also resumes action over the next few days, with several notable games to keep fans entertained. One of these is naturally PSG vs Olympique Lyonnais, which takes place on Sunday, October 1st. Fans can catch that game, and many more on DAZN thanks to a new exclusive partnership between the streaming entity and the top flight in French women's football.

DAZN secures key partnership with France's D1 Féminine to live-stream games
Great news for fans of French football!
Starting from the current 2023/24 D1 Féminine season, streaming giant DAZN will offer live-streaming options for fans in several key locations, including in the USA, the UK, and Spain. Meanwhile, fans in France will be able to enjoy two matches each week thanks to a key partnership with broadcast giant Canal+.
This will certainly come as welcome news for USA-based supporters of D1 Féminine football, especially as the 2023/24 season gets underway. Lyon come into the campaign as the defending champions, but there will be once again several teams hoping to knock them off their perch, including PSG and their fellow Parisian counterparts Paris FC.
Former Spain coach Jorge Vilda apparently now under investigation following Rubiales fiasco
Spain's drama following the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup now has another unfortunate chapter that continues to overshadow La Roja's historic achievement.
Despite winning the coveted prize and thus becoming the second nation to win both men's and women's World Cups, much of the focus has been diverted away from Spain's impressive performance due to the fall-out following an incident involving football executive Luis Rubiales and striker Jenni Hermoso after the game. Rubiales was seen grabbing and kissing Hermoso, sparking outrage all over the world.
Former coach Jorge Vilda, who apparently had a very difficult relationship with many of his players before and during the tournament, was eventually dismissed, but now finds himself in a difficult situation as he's been summoned to appear in court next month. This is apparently based on witness statements from three players plus other reports that Vilda attempted to convince Hermoso to support Rubiales, meaning that Vilda's woes could end up getting a lot worse than initially anticipated.
What to watch in women's football: October 2nd to October 4th
Frauen-Bundesliga
Most of the games from matchday two will be taking place over the weekend, but one key game fans will not want to miss will kick off on Monday, October 2nd as reigning champions Bayern Munich face Cologne. Bayern will be especially keen on getting their title defense back on track as they dropped two points on matchday one following a 2-2 draw against Freiburg, while Cologne will look to make it two wins in two following their hard-fought 2-1 victory over RB Leipzig.

Serie A (Women)
Like in Germany, many of the games will be taking place on the weekend but Monday looks set to feature a very interesting game starring Inter Milan and Fiorentina. Both teams are among five sides to all win their matchday one games and will be hoping to avoid dropping points early on in the battle for the Scudetto, which was won by Roma during the 2022/23 season.
Liga F
It's set to be a busy week for Liga F fans, as in addition to the usual weekend round, viewers will be treated to more games during the week. The action will start on Tuesday, October 3rd when Villarreal, who barely avoided the drop last season, welcome Atletico Madrid, who missed out on securing a Champions League berth last term. The bulk of this round's games will be played on Wednesday, October 4th, with key games including Real Sociedad facing a Levante side who finished in third past season as well as Real Madrid, who were runners-up behind Barcelona, hosting Real Betis.
Barcelona, meanwhile, will take on Valencia on Thursday.

Arsenal star Vivianne Miedema expresses concerns ahead of eventual return to action
Arsenal's Vivianne Miedema has been out since last year following a nasty ACL injury, which forced the Dutch ace to miss out on the team's rest of the season as well as the women's World Cup this past summer. However, after nearly a year on the sidelines, she has finally returned to training - albeit it still will be quite some time before fans see her back on the pitch.
Naturally, the player will have concerns about eventually returning to full action after being out for so long and recently revealed her thoughts about both the difficult physical and mental journey she has faced as she fights her way back to full fitness.
"After months of rehabilitation after my serious knee injury, I am now training with the selection at Arsenal again," she noted during an interview with a Dutch publication.
"But somehow, it's also scary. How will my knee hold up? How will things go during the matches? [However, I'm excited and] I will first start playing for Arsenal's second team to gain some rhythm".
Arsenal kicked off their 2023/24 WSL season with a home match against Liverpool on October 1st, but the Gunners will have to focus solely on domestic affairs after their surprise early Champions League exit during the play-offs.
