A total of 713,000 people watched the game on FOX and the broadcast received a 0.41 viewership rating.
NBC Sports Network’s screening of the Premier League clash between Liverpool and Aston Villa on Saturday made it to the podium in third place. Jurgen Klopp’s side took down Aston Villa 2-1 at Anfield to keep Champions League qualification hopes alive. The game scored a 0.26 rating after 426,000 viewers tuned in to the screening.
Univision’s TUDN landed the most broadcasts in Showbuzzdaily's top 150 cable originals and network finals last week, with 13. The clash between Liga MX giants Club America and Tigres UANL was the most-watched game on TUDN last week, drawing 414,000 viewers. The game saw Club America secure a 3-1 away win to edge closer to league-leaders Cruz Azul.
It was a historic weekend for Serie A in the United States, given that ABC carried full coverage of the meeting between Fiorentina and Atalanta on Sunday. The game turned out to be a five-goal spectacle where Atalanta won 3-2 away from home. The game drew 225,000 viewers and received a 0.14 viewership rating.
BeIN Sport Español and beIN Sport screened El Clasico on Saturday, which Real Madrid won 2-1. Spanish-language beIN Sport Español recorded better numbers than beIN Sport, with 343,000 viewers and a 0.14 viewership rating. On the other hand, beIN Sport’s broadcast attracted 152,000 viewers.
Lastly, FOX Sports 1 telecasted a Concacaf Champions League game between Alajuelense and Atlanta United. The American side defeated the Costa Rican club 1-0 – 2-0 on aggregate – to advance to the quarterfinals. Atlanta United is the first Major League Soccer club in Concacaf Champions League history to advance past the first stage of knockout rounds in three consecutive seasons.
