Manchester United exhibited their comeback spirit against Chicago Fire in their second match of the 2011 World Football Challenge.
On Saturday night at the Soldier Field, Red Devils had to wait until the second half to produce goals. First, Rooney found the net to cancel Gibbs’ 13th minute opener for Chicago Fire. Rafael then put Manchester United in front with 15 minutes of the match remaining. Portuguese star winger Nani finally sealed the win with a goal in the 82nd minute.

“Obviously losing the first goal put us under a bit of pressure,” Fergie told Manchester United’s official website.

“But I think they coped well. David made a couple of good saves after that and Phil settled in nicely. I'm pleased. It was a good work-out, that's for sure, and all the players have had to work really hard to get the result.”

Ahead of the 2011/2012 season, things look bright for the Red Devils who trashed New England Revolution 4-1 in their first World Football Challenge encounter. On July 30, current La Liga and UEFA Champions League winners Barcelona will offer Manchester United a real test.

In a rematch of the 2011 Wembley final, the Red Devils will meet the Catalans in Landover.
