More Liverpool transfer news come out, with a report linking Maxi Rodriguez with a move to Argentine football club Newell’s Old Boys.
The midfielder actually began his journey on the path of fame in 1999 under the glimmers of La Lepra. After a 3-year spell at the club, Rodriguez moved to Spain, where he featured in the squads of Espanyol and Atletico Madrid.

A move to Liverpool FC later on gave him higher chances of elevating his standard on the global stage of football superstars; but despite all his opportunities in the Premier League, the 30-year-old has affirmed that he could well be seen performing under the jersey of Newell’s Old Boys once again, as soon as the summer transfer window comes to its end.

“When I left (the Argentina club), I knew I was coming back,” Maxi Rodriguez was quoted saying by the Argentinian newspaper La Capital.
“The president William Lorenzo called me and I said ‘yes’. Now it depends on my contract at Liverpool, maybe that can be loosened a little.”

The member of Los Albicelestes scored 7 goals in his last 4 games for Liverpool, including a pair of hat-tricks against Birmingham and Fulham in the EPL. The player was signed back in January last year on a three-and-a-half year deal, but he might be lucky enough to leave England for a return in his homeland.
