Hazard set to miss UCL clash due to injury

Hazard set to miss UEFA CL tie vs Atalanta due to fresh injury setback

February 3, 2021 By Oscar Rojas
The Belgian ace could be out for the better part of February and March after a new physical problem emerged in a recent test.

The dream move for Eden Hazard has turned into a nightmare, as the Belgian winger has once again been ruled out for Real Madrid's upcoming games.

In a short press release today, Real Madrid have revealed that the Belgian footballer has picked up one more muscular injury, this time with on his left thigh. The player set to miss between four and six weeks this time.

The main problem for Real Madrid is that Hazard has spent more time on the sidelines than on the pitch since he signed a long-term deal in 2019. According to the stats made available by the Spanish giants, Hazard has spent 283 days recovering from his distinct injuries. When you realize that is 51% of the time he has worn Real Madrid's No.7 jersey, you can admit the investment has not paid off. Furthermore, he has gathered more injuries (10) than he has accomplished goals and assists (9) for Los Blancos in La Liga.

With this new injury, Hazard seems set to miss some key matchups for the Spanish giants, which would include the game against Valencia on February 14, the first leg of the UEFA Champions League clash against Atalanta, and the crucial Madrid Derby on the first week of March.
