UEFA Champions League: How to watch Juventus vs Ferencvaros live in 120+ countries on November 24, 2020

November 23, 2020 By Emmanuel K. Budu-Annor
Juventus will take on Ferencvaros at home with the Champions League returning this week.

Match preview

Juventus will aim to move closer to securing safe passage into the knockout phase of this season's UEFA Champions League with back-to-back wins over Ferencvaros. Following a mildly impressive start, the Bianconeri occupy second position in Group G after amassing six points from three appearances so far. In the last round of matches, Andre Pirlo's men had their 100 percent win record ruined by a rampaging Barcelona side who ended their trip to the Allianz Stadium with a 2-0 win.

A much anticipated reunion between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi could not be due to the former being ruled out with a positive coronavirus case. However, the Portuguese stalwart's absence only proved useful for the visitors in a game in which Alvaro Morata scored a hat-trick of offside goals. Since then, good fortune has seemingly crawled its way back into Juve's camp with the club yet to record defeat in their last four run-outs. Generally, it has been a steady ride under Pirlo on both domestic and continental fronts.

On Tuesday, the Bianconeri legend and his men will welcome their Hungarian counterparts to the Allianz Stadium off the back of a 2-0 win over Cagliari in Serie A. In the grand scheme of things, the defeat to Barca remains the only one in the last 10 appearances, with the Turin outfit registering five wins, four draws and a defeat during the period.

For Ferencvaros, a win against Juventus will be a step in the right direction as far as their ambitions in Europe is concerned. After returning to the competition following an absence spanning over two decades, the Green Eagles are yet to make huge statements to justify their inclusion in the ongoing campaign.

Needless to say, it was somewhat expected, having been drawn to contest in the same group as Barcelona and Juventus. So far, Serhiy Rebrov's side has just a point to show for the work they have done so far although they could have been three up had it not been for a late goal concession in the 2-2 draw with Dynamo Kyiv.

The first round meetings with both Barca and Juve have not been particularly pretty with the pair collectively putting nine goals past the Hungarians. Ahead of Tuesday's trip to Turin, Ferencvaros will draw inspiration from the fact that they are without a defeat in their last three outings.

Team news

Juventus will be without the injured Leonardo Bonucci when they receive Ferencvaros on Tuesday. The defender withdrew from the Italy squad for the recent Nations League games. Relatively, Giorgio Chiellini remains a doubt after pulling out of the game against Lazio with a thigh injury. Aaron Ramsey is also sidelined for the encounter with an injury.

Meanwhile, the return of Federico Chiesa and Paulo Dybala comes as a huge boost, with the pair featuring on the bench in Saturday's win over Cagliari. On the other hand, the visitors enter the game with a fully fit squad at their disposal.

Predicted starting XI

Juventus: Wojciech Szczesny; Danilo, Matthijs de Ligt, Merih Demiral, Juan Cuadrado; Weston McKennie, Rodrigo Bentancur, Adrien Rabiot, Paulo Dybala; Cristiano Ronaldo, Alvaro Morata.

Ferencvaros: Denes Dibusz; Gergo Lovrencsics, Miha Blazic, Lasha Dvali, Endre Botka; Marcel Heister, Ihor Kharatin; David Siger, Isael da Silva Barbosa, Myrto Uzuni; Franck Boli
