The Gunners are reportedly set to resume preparations for the reminder of the season following a period of self-isolation.

English Premier League club Arsenal is set to welcome back players to its training base after completing a 14-day period of self-isolation following the coronavirus outbreak. Wednesday's report by Sky Sports indicated that the Gunners were ready to resume preparations for the remainder of the season after locking down their Colney facility having had a positive case confirmed last week.

Manager of the North London side Mikel Arteta tested positive for COVID-19 last Thursday, and subsequently led the club and the Premier League to initiate preventive protocols. This included the cancellation of their game with Brighton and other fixtures, and the suspension of the season until April 4. The training base of the Emirates outfit also remains closed for the time being while players were forced into self-quarantine to avoid catching or spreading the virus.

Nevertheless, the period of isolation ends next week Tuesday and, according to Sky Sports, everything is on track for Arsenal's London Colney training base to reopen for peparations to resume. The team, who currently sits five places away from Top 4, aims to be ready and in shape ahead of their home game against Norwich slated for April 4.

Meanwhile, head coach of the side Mikel Arteta, is said to have made significant progress in his recovery. According to Sky Sports, the Spaniard is now " feeling better and in good spirits".
