Despite the player's efforts, Real Madrid remains at the top spot in La Liga thanks to their 4-1 win against Osasuna.

It was not an easy week for Lionel Messi, but he surely found a way to shift the attention back to what happens on the pitch.

The Argentine ace led Barcelona to one more comeback, this time against Betis, in order to keep their chances of winning La Liga alive. While doing that, Messi matched one of the most complicated records he's ever accomplished, especially since it didn't have to do with him finding the back of the net.

On top of that, Messi has already handed out over ten assists and scored over ten goals this season. How many players have done that? Only one before "La Pulga"

But even if Barcelona is still in contention, the top spot in La Liga belongs to Real Madrid. Los Merengues rallied back to beat Osasuna 4-1, and once again, Karim Benzema was at the heart of that comeback. How? By writing his name inside Real Madrid's history books in gold lettering.
