Bale responds to claim hinting at Real Madrid exit

Bale responds to fresh claim hinting at imminent Real Madrid exit

October 9, 2019 By Emmanuel K. Budu-Annor
The Welshman has addressed the emerging speculations about his future.

Real Madrid superstar Gareth Bale insists that he is not fazed by the persisting speculation over his future at the Spanish club. Ahead of Wales' Euro 2020 Qualifiers, the 30-year-old responded to claims that he was "angry" and "fed up" and was considering a move away with his feud with Zidane being rekindled.

Earlier this week, renowned football journalist Guillem Balague was cited by Spanish publication AS as saying that the former Tottenham stalwart was still not enjoying life at Real Madrid due to the unfair treatment he was receiving. According to the claims, the winger was angry, fed up and confused - especially after being omitted from the squad to face Club Brugge in the previous Champions League outing.

As a result, he was no longer interested in continuing his stay with the Spanish capital outfit and is seeking alternatives so as to complete a switch elsewhere. Nevertheless, Bale has since reacted to the rumors, claiming that he is not distracted by purported uncertainty growing over his future at Real Madrid.

"I think you play with a lot of emotion," he told a news conference on Wednesday.

"Obviously anger comes into it, but I'm just trying to play football and enjoy it as much as I can and give my best, whether I am here or at Real Madrid.

"Whenever I go on to the pitch I try and give 100%, as much as I can, to help the team. I'll continue to do that. I haven't got anything to clear my mind about.

"I love meeting up with Wales, everybody knows that. It is something that I've always loved doing. We have a task in hand to try and qualify for the Euros. It's a massive game. We're looking forward to it, we want to win the game, get the three points and put ourselves right back in the mix.

"Come tomorrow, I don't care who scores, as long as we score and win the match.

"It's about the team tomorrow. We need to stick to the game plan and, if we do, we have a good chance of winning."
