The team's poor start of the season could see Ole Gunnar Solskjaer leaving his spot as boss in the event of a loss against Arsenal.

Things have not gone the way Manchester United execs wanted since they appointed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as their permanent boss, and even if Ed Woodward remains confident he can turn things around, the club is seemingly in the hunt for a new coach.

According to a report by Tuttosport, the Red Devils would be interested in adding a seasoned coach to their dugout, someone that can get the most out of their players and make their star players -namely Paul Pogba- give that extra effort needed to turn things around.

With that in mind, Manchester United execs have named Massimiliano Allegri as their top priority in case Solskjaer can't live up to the expectations, and the currently unemployed boss has already stated his first set of demands.

The Italian newspaper reveals that Allegri, who won one Serie A title with Milan and five more with Juventus, has demanded to have a massive budget to add players during the winter transfer window. Once this demand is satisfied, he will enter negotiations with the Red Devils' hierarchy.

Allegri would also have a major role in trying to get the most out of Paul Pogba, considering their history together. Pogba won two Serie A titles under Allegri, but they were not able to give the bianconeri a UEFA Champions League title in the 2014-15 campaign.

Be that as it may, Monday's game between Manchester United and Arsenal could be key for Ole's future, especially with Allegri waiting on the sidelines.
