Live Soccer TV's match preview provides where to watch France vs Saudi Arabia from wherever you're based.

How they got to the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup: France vs Saudi Arabia

France were beaten 2-0 by Italy in the 2018 UEFA under-19 EURO championship, but nonetheless, Les Bleuets did enough to join four other European sides, excluding hosts Poland who will all be hoping to lift the coveted trophy this summer. The team, who will be making their seventh appearance, won their first trophy in 2013 when they were led by none other than Manchester United star Paul Pogba, and now they will be hoping to emulate the success of the senior side who won the biggest prize in world football last summer in Russia.

Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia booked their spot thanks to winning their third AFC under-19 championship last year. They defeated defending champions Japan along the way and although the Green Falcons have never gotten beyond the round of 16, their strong performance at the AFC tournament last summer will give them some hope of at least doing better in their ninth appearance at a FIFA U-20 World Cup.

France vs Saudi Arabia: History at the FIFA U-20 World Cup

France first appeared at the 1977 edition, but failed to qualify for 20 years until reappearing in 1997, where they made the quarter-finals. They again missed out in 1999, but secured another quarter-finals berth at the 2001 edition staged in Argentina. It took ten years before Les Bleuets were able to once again grace the biannual tournament, and with Atletico Madrid's Antoine Griezmann leading the team, they finished in fourth. Two years later, they lifted the trophy, with Paul Pogba playing an instrumental role, but failed to defend their title as they weren't able to qualify for the tournament two years later.

Interestingly, Saudi Arabia have actually featured at more World Cups than France. This will be the ninth appearance for the Green Falcons, although they haven't had nearly as much success as their upcoming opponents. To date, they have only only gotten past the round of 16 twice - and the most recent was at the latest edition in 2017.
