Arsenal could welcome back Cesc Fabregas into their lineup ahead of Tuesday’s UEFA Champions League match away to Barcelona.
After missing both the Carling Cup final and Saturday’s Premier League game against Sunderland, Cesc Fabregas feels physically fit enough to feature against Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League come Tuesday. Last season, injury worries had prevented the skipper from taking part in Arsenal’s game at the Camp Nou; a game which the Gunners eventually lost heavily.

This term, Cesc Fabregas is looking to overcome any obstacles as he aims to come up against Barcelona – his dream club. In an interview with Sportreview.com, the Spaniard explained his current condition, saying:

“As far as my injury is concerned, I am feeling really good at the moment. I am doing everything I possibly can to get ready as soon as I can.

“Physically I feel good and it was good to have a bit of a rest too because I am sure I will come back stronger.

“I am optimistic that everything should be okay for Tuesday.”

Besides the prospect of having Cesc Fabregas back from injury, Arsenal have survived a scare as Jack Wilshere – who sustained a knock at the weekend against Sunderland – cleared any sense of fear via his Twitter account:

“Just to let you know i am not injured and if selected will be fit to face Barca! Few kicks but nothing too bad!”

Wilshere was remarkably sensational in the first leg of Arsenal’s Champions League Last 16 tie against Barcelona. The Gunners will be happy to see the young player put on a strong performance in midfield once again as they look forward to disqualifying the Catalans.
