Australia, Brazil, Italy, and the debutants Jamaica will battle it out for the only two knockout stage tickets. Here's everything you need to know.

Australia

Australia may have never won the FIFA Women's World Cup, but the fact that they have qualified for every single tournament bar one -- the inaugural campaign -- is proof that they are a formidable side in the women's sport. Ranked sixth in the world, the Matildas will be keen on going far at France 2019.

However, their loss in the 2018 Asian Women's Cup final to Japan and their 5-3 defeat in a friendly against the USWNT in April show that they are not yet a complete package. Australia made it to the quarter-finals in the last three FIFA Women's World Cup but their goal will be to improve on that record.

Brazil

While Brazil is and always will be a powerhouse in the Beautiful Game, As Canarinhas are ranked 10th in the world and have disappointed in their most recent FIFA Women's World Cup campaigns. A quarter-final exit in 2011 was followed by a round of 16 elimination for the South American powerhouse, none of which should be tolerated at France 2019.

Brazil has never won this tournament, finishing as runner-up in 2007. With Marta being 33, this could be the last World Cup for the nation's finest female player. They won the 2018 Copa América Femenina. The 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup is next on their list.

Italy

After a 20-year absence, Italy will be making their much-awaited return to the FIFA Women's World Cup. Since their last appearance in 1999, the Azzurre have had four failed attempts but will look to make amends at France 2019.

After losing only once in eight games in the qualifying round, the Italians will be hopeful of maintaining their impressive form. The fact that they only conceded four goals in those matches will have them hopeful of a strong defensive performance in Group C.

Jamaica

Never before has Jamaica qualified for the FIFA Women's World Cup. Never before have they won a major trophy. As a result, they are undoubtedly the underdogs in this group.

The Reggae Girlz's lack of experience could be detrimental but the fact that not many expect them to make the knockout stage could be the driving force they need to shock their bigger opponents.

Who will qualify from Group C at the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup?

It's one of those groups where, if the underdogs are taken advantage of mercilessly, three candidates could qualify into the knockout stages. In other words, if Group C's opening match -- Australia vs Italy -- ends up in a stalemate and that giants Brazil destroy debutants Jamaica in the other game on June 9, it could be extremely tough for the latter to get back up. Is this table set up for the Australians, the Brazilians, and the Italians to all go through?
