The 23 players tasked to defend the colors of the United States of America in France have been revealed.

It's official. The likes of veterans such as Ali Krieger, Carli Lloyd, Kelley O'Hara, and Megan Rapinoe will join prolific striker Alex Morgan and 21-year-old forward Mallory Pugh to represent the USA at the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup which kicks off in just over a month's time.

Coach Jill Ellis selected a robust line-up. Almost a third of the roster boasts massive experience, having featured in at least two previous Women's World Cup tournaments.

At the same time, the US Women's National Team's France 2019 squad possesses enough freshness with goalkeeper Adrianna Franch, North Carolina Courage defenders Abby Dahlkemper and Crystal Dunn, and Washington Spirit's Mallory Pugh being among the 11 players who will all be participating in the finals for the first time in their career whilst living legend Abby Wambach will be supporting them from the VIP stands.

Here is a look at the USWN't 23-woman team for the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup:

"One nation. One team." is the USWNT's motto as American fans anxiously anticipate the start of their FIFA Women's World Cup title defense. There are exactly 40 days to go until the U.S. kick-off their France 2019 journey with a clash against 34th-ranked nation, Thailand, in Reims. Although the champions are poised to open their account with a commanding victory, Matchday 2 and 3 might prove to pose challenges with South American Women's Football's fourth-best ranked side, Chile, and World Top 10 candidates, Sweden, plotting to rock the boat.

Coach Jill Ellis would be very much cautious of not allowing sloppiness to hurt her side, after learning her lessons at the 2019 SheBelieves Cup where her team failed to keep the trophy on home soil. Before embarking on the plane to France, the U.S. will engage in send-off series this month.

It all begins next Sunday against South Africa, a country that will be making its debut at the Women's World Cup this summer. On May 16, the USA will entertain OFC heavyweights, New Zealand. Ten days later, USWNT vs Mexico will come on at the Red Bull Arena.

The squad will want to increase the momentum they built in April when they brushed aside Belgium 6-0 in a match where rejuvenated Carli Lloyd bagged a brace whilst Alex Morgan, who had entered the 100-goals club in the previous 5-3 win over Australia, also found the net.
