Ahead of the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup, Live Soccer TV takes a look at Norway Women's Team. How far can they go at the tournament?

What is Norway's history in the FIFA Women's World Cup?

Currently ranked 12th as per FIFA's latest rankings, Norway are unique in the fact that they have appeared at every single FIFA Women's World Cup tournament since the competition's inception in 1991. In fact, there are only seven teams who have featured at all seven prior tournaments: United States, Germany, Sweden, Brazil, Japan, and Nigeria, as well as Norway.

To date, they have won one World Cup (in 1995) and have made it out of the group stages of nearly every single tournament they have featured in except for the 2011 competition, when they crashed out of the group stages in Germany.

What is Norway's group at the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup?

They are in Group A with the hosts. For more information and analysis on Norway's Last 16 qualification chances, check out Group A: France, Nigeria, Norway, South Korea - 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup teams.

What is Norway's full squad list for the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup?

On May 2, Norway announced their squad for the upcoming 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup. Here it is:

Who are the key players to watch for Norway at the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup?

With Ada Hegerberg, the first-ever recipient of the Ballon d'Or Féminin, not participating in the competition after announcing in 2017 that she is taking a break from international duties, Norway will rely on captain Maren Mjelde's leadership as they seek to navigate through their quartet and beyond in France at the upcoming tournament.

The 29-year-old, who plays her club football for Chelsea, is a verstaile player who can be deployed as a midfielder, defender, or defensive midfielder. She's well known for her skills from dead-ball situations and Norway will be hoping to count on her as they aim to try to go as far in the upcoming World Cup as possible this summer.

Who is Norway's coach?

Martin Sjogren has his hands full to try to match the impressive achievements of Even Pellerud, who notably led Norway to their first and only Women's World Cup title in 1995, but the Swede certainly will be looking forward to the challenge. Although Norway failed to impress at the EURO 2017 championships, they had a solid qualifying campaign for the 2019 Women's World Cup and hopefully will be able to build on that in France.
