The lawyer of the American woman who was allegedly raped by Cristiano Ronaldo claims he has been contacted by another 'victim'.

Leslie Stovall, the lawyer representing Kathryn Mayorga - the American woman who was allegedly assaulted sexually by Cristiano Ronaldo - has revealed that he has been contacted by another lady with the same claim.

A recent expose by German magazine Der Spiegel accused the Portuguese football star of forcibly sleeping with the aforementioned woman who is said to be a teacher in America. According to the report, the incident occurred in a hotel room in Las Vegas back in 2009 after the pair met in a nightclub.

With the news dominating headlines globally, Cristiano Ronaldo and his legal entourage have come out to categorically refute the authenticity of the claim. On the other hand, the Las Vegas police has reportedly reopened the case for further probing, and a new twist has been added to the development.

According to Leslie Stovall, an unnamed woman who shares the same experience as Kathryn Mayorga has contacted him.

"I have had a call from a woman who claims to have had a similar experience," the lawyer was quoted to have said by U.K tabloid The Mail on Sunday.

Should the claims be verified, the case which has already caught worldwide attention will be blown wide open. The preliminary development of the situation has already put the five-time Ballon d'Or winner in an uncomfortable situation as well as threatened his lucrative sponsorship and marketing deals.

Evidence of this is seen in the fact that the image of Cristiano Ronaldo was temporarily removed from the cover of the newly released FIFA 19 seen on EA Sports' official website and Twitter page on Friday.

The share price of Juventus also experienced a plunge on the same day, with its value decreasing by 10%. Nike, who gave the former Real Madrid forward a lifetime-contract worth $1 billion, although momentarilly unaffected, is also said "deeply concerned".
