After seeing his Italy side snatch a late equaliser against Germany, Cesare Prandelli believes that a draw was a fair result for both teams.
Miroslav Klose gave Germany the lead on the 16th minute and they looked almost certain to win the game until Giuseppe Rossi popped up with an equalizer with 10 minutes remaining.

Sami Khedira tested Buffon late on but was unable to find the winner as Germany continued the winless streak against Italy. However, Italy coach Cesare Prandelli said that the draw was a fair result for both teams.

"The draw is the right result," Prandelli is reported as saying on Football Italia.

"A defeat would've been unfair. We played well in a difficult arena. We were a little more intense after the break, although in the first half we also had some good chances."

Prandelli also believed that some of his players played well and players like Giorgio Chiellini would take time to adapt to his left-back role

"Chiellini needs to find his pace - which he will do at club level with practice," he said.

"Antonio Cassano had some interesting moves too. We are distant from this already well-drilled Germany right now, but we can keep working and close that gap to achieve great things on our journey."
