The Egyptian ace believes there will be other aspects that will decide the UCL final between Real Madrid and Liverpool.

They may be two of the reasons why Real Madrid and Liverpool made it to the UEFA Champions League final, but they are not the only ones.

At least that's how Mohamed Salah feels about the UCL final on May 26, and he insisted that fans shouldn't consider this the defining moment of the Ballon D'Or race between himself and Cristiano Ronaldo.

In an interview published by The Mirror, the Egyptian striker dismissed the idea that either CR7 or himself could be a step ahead of each other in the Ballon D'Or race, even if both are considered as the frontrunners to win the award to be handed next semester.

"It's not going to be a final between Mohamed Salah and Cristiano Ronaldo. I am playing for a great club, and we have great players," Salah stated.

According to Salah, the clash will be decided by each player's supporting cast, rather than their individual exploits.

"Qualifying to the final came with great teamwork, that I cannot do it alone," Salah added.

The Egyptian striker, who is also a Golden Shoe contender, used this opportunity to thank all those African fans supporting him in his quest for silverware, both individually and collectively.

"I know all of the Arab people wish the best for me, and they are happy every time I win, but now at the moment I am only thinking about the final and to bring the trophy to Anfield," Salah concluded.

Real Madrid and Liverpool will lock horns in the 2017-18 UEFA Champions League final. This will be a repeat of the 1981 final, which saw Liverpool taking the trophy home.
