Liverpool travel to Man United without Sadio Mane; Leicester host title favorites Chelsea without Mahrez.

Round 21 of the English Premier League commences on Saturday, but several clubs will lose key players due to the 2017 African Cup of Nations – starting this Saturday as well. Two teams badly affected by the tournament – Leicester and Liverpool – face tough ties this weekend.

The reigning Premier League champions will be visited by the favorites to win this season’s title: Chelsea. The Blues still enjoy a comfortable five-point lead over second-placed Liverpool, but Hazard and Co. will be on a mission to dissect the Foxes in order to regain confidence after their 2-0 loss to Tottenham.

Unfortunately for Claudio Ranieri, he will have to make do without two key players: Riyad Mahrez and Islam Slimani. The Algerian duo have reported for international duty, as well as Liverpool ace Sadio Mane.

The Senegalese attacker has been a brilliant signing. It’s unfortunate that the Reds’ first game during Mane’s absence will be a clash with bitter rivals Manchester United. The Red Devils have also lost a key player to the 2017 AFCON – Eric Bailly – but will still have Zlatan, Mata, Pogba, and the rest to bag goals.

Mancester’s other big club, Manchester City, face a tricky test away to Everton. Arsenal, in need of a win, travel to second-from-bottom Swansea.
