Sunderland will welcome Arsene Wenger’s men this Sunday, as both teams will fight for three crucial points in the Premier League.

After 18th place contenders Sunderland came out victorious against Norwich last Saturday, they will be pleased to enter this match full of confidence with the home field advantage. However, despite their positive momentum, the difficulty of this match cannot be underestimated, as the Gunners are pumped up with their recent 2-0 victory against West Brom in midweek.

Regardless, Sunderland, with only 30 points on the table, must search for a win in order to crawl out of the threatening relegation zone. Can the Rockerites handle Alexis & Co. to give them some breathing space in the standings?

Team news - who's fit and who's not?

There is a major injury boost for Sam Allardyce’ side as midfielders Jack Rodwell (knock) and Jeremain Lens (Inguinal Hernia) have both received the green medical light, and will be returning to the full team training. Furthermore, despite the concerns around striker Fabio Bornia, who left the Norwich match last Saturday with an ice-pack on his shin, he will be available, as Sunderland welcome their opponents with a complete squad.

The visitors will be pleased to travel to the Stadium of Light with an almost fully fit squad. The only inury worry for the away side is Spanish ace Cazorla, who picked up a knee injury back in late November. The midfielder has been making great progress but will not be fit enough to feature in Sunday’s league fixture. In addition, midfielder Alex Chamberlain (knee) will also be sidelined for this clash, as the England international has yet to rejoin training.
