Arsenal will face the Greek side in a do or die situation and need goals if they are to advance to the next round of the tournament. The Gunners will have to record a victory by a score line other than 1-0 or 2-1 to reach the last 16.
History does not bode well for the North London side with Arsenal not having enjoyed much luck in their recent visits to Olympiakos. The Gunners have lost thrice at the Stadio Georgios Karaiskáki since 2009 however on all three occasions they had already qualified to the next round.
Joel Campbell who spent a season on loan at the Greek side has highlighted the match as Arsenal's most important game of the season. The Costa Rican was on target as the Gunners recorded a 3-1 win over Sunderland last time out and he has stressed the importance of being mentally and physically fit for their upcoming tie.
"[The win over Sunderland] was a good result for the team," Campbell told the club's official website.
"We got the result and that's what we wanted. Now we have to prepare mentally and physically for Wednesday's game because it will be very difficult.
"We already played against Olympiacos at Emirates Stadium. They are a great team, a great rival and especially because they play at home.
"It is the most important game of the season so far. It will be a cup final and we have to win to continue in the Champions League."
Arsenal will have to do the job without their first choice midfield pairing Francis Coquelin and Santi Cazorla with Alexis Sanchez also unavailable for the match.
Olympiakos on the other hand come into this match at the back of three straight wins and will be in a buoyant mood ahead of the tie having defeated Arsenal in the reverse fixture.
