What earned the Man United defender a spot alongside Cristiano, Jose Mourinho, and Frank Lampard? Find out here.

Cristiano Ronaldo, Jose Mourinho, and Frank Lampard are few of the biggest names in football to make the Guinness Book of Records.

Cristiano, the Real Madrid superstar loved by many, and hated by even more, is considered to be one of the best ever players to have graced the beautiful game, and makes the list for the most number of Liga BBVA hat-tricks, with 27.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho, who grabbed the coaching world by storm at a young age by winning the Champions League with Porto, then wrestling English Premier League dominance from the clutches of Arsenal and Man United upon his Chelsea arrival, holds a number of records.

The Special One holds the record for most points in an English Premier League season (95), most home games unbeaten (77), youngest manager in history to reach 100 Champions League games (49 years and 12 days) and has won the most Champions League titles at different teams (2).

Lampard, on the other hand, has scored against 39 Premier League opponents, one being his former side Chelsea, a record matched by none in the league’s history.

All legends of the sport, they are joined by an unlikely name; Manchester United’s Chris Smalling.

So why is the English ace in the Guinness Book of Records? For two reasons: first, he holds the record for the fastest goal in the English Premier League by a substitute from kick-off, with his striker against Burnley in 5 minutes and 9 seconds.

Secondly, he holds the record for most goals by a substitute in a first-half after adding a second goal in that very same match.

Impressive, you must admit!
