The Bundesliga giants set a UEFA record in Thursday's 7-2 win, then were gifted an easy group in the Europa League the following day.

On Thursday, Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund secured their spot in the 2015-16 Europa League season in style, thrashing Norwegian side Odd 7-2 at home.

Marco Reus bagged three goals, inspiring the German side to impressive win at Signal Iduna Park, having pulled off an amazing 4-3 comeback in the first tie, ending the two-legged clash 11-5 on aggregate.

Alongside the German hat-trick hero, Shinji Kagawa scored a brace, whilst Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Ilkay Gundogan also etched their names onto the score sheet.

Thursday was also a special night for Borussia Dortmund, as it saw them set a new UEFA record for most attendance for a Europa League play-off encounter.

A whopping 64,200 devoted fans were at show to see the 7-2 win, beating out the previous record of 52,034 held by fellow Bundesliga club Schalke.

The victory saw Thomas Tuchel's crew advance to the group stage, as they go in search of their first European title since their UEFA Super Cup triumph in 1997.

The odds of Dortmund clinching the title shot up after the outcome of the Europa League group-stage draw on Friday.
