The Champions League finalists will kick start preparations for their new campaign with a fixture against German side Borussia Dortmund. After a successful season which saw them claiming the Serie A and the Coppa Italia, the Turin side will be hoping to maintain the standards.
They will however have to do it without Chilean star Arturo Vidal who is poised to finalize his move to Dortmund's rivals Bayern Munich. Juventus themselves have been linked to some high profile names among them is Schalke star Draxler who has been hotly linked to a move to the Turin club.
One signing the club has already made is that of Neto who was signed from Fiorentina and despite the fact that the Brazilian is expected to play second fiddle to Buffon, he appears in a buoyant mood.
"Right through the organisation there is an expectation and desire to win and that is a mentality that I share," the 26-year-old said.
"The time came, after a fantastic stay in Florence, for me to take my career into my own hands and I've done that by joining a team of this quality
"There is no doubt that Juventus was the right choice for me.
"Since I arrived in Italy my ambition has been to play at the very highest level, so when Juventus came in for me my mind was made up."
Juve's opponents on Saturday, Dortmund who underwent a horrible season last time out which saw them finish seventh have started their preparations early this time. The German side have already played five pre-season games having recorded victories in four of them.
They were against Luzern last time out a match they won by a 4-1 score line thanks to goals from Reus, Kampl, Hummels and Leitner.
Dortmund suffered a lot of heartache last season especially with Jurgen Klopp announcing his departure from the club. However midfielder Kevin Kampl is confident that under the tutelage of Thomas Tuchel the club can return to the top four.
"A lot is expected of you when you play for Dortmund - and a lot of that expectation comes from within," the Slovenia international stated.
"We want to try to attack those Champions League places and compete with the top three of four.
"And given the quality in the team, I'm sure we can manage that."
