After prying the Reds of Luis Suarez, Barcelona look to raid Liverpool yet again for one of their prized asset.

Eight months after prying Liverpool of Uruguayan striker Luis Suarez, the then MVP of the English Premier League, the Catalan giants look to raid the Merseyside club for yet another one of their star players.

As reported by the Metro, who cite Spanish news outlet El Mundo Deportivo as their source, Luis Enrique's side have been keeping close tabs on English midfielder Jordan Henderson, and could be looking to recruit the 24-year-old on a free transfer.

Henderson, who moved to Anfield from Sunderland back in 2011, is seen as the ideal replacement for MLS-bound Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard, who announced he will leave the club next summer. Henderson is the club's current vice-captain, and in Stevie G's absence, has guided the Reds to a 13-game unbeaten run, which has helped Liverpool climb up the table to fifth.

The Three Lions ace has only 18 months remaining on his deal with Liverpool. A contract extension is widely expected to be offered, but the Blaugranas are reportedly plotting to hand Henderson a pre-contract before luring him to Camp Nou next January.

Of course, the transfer window in the first month of 2016 is when Barcelona's two-window transfer ban will be lifted, meaning a deal could occur. However, it would be interesting to see where the Englishman would fit in a midfield that already boasts the likes of Ivan Rakitic, Andres Iniesta, Xavi, and Sergio Busquets.

Plus, Brendan Rodgers would not be keen on letting this prized asset walk away.
