Borussia Dortmund may be living hard times in their domestic tournament, but Jurgen Klopp's crew seems to transform when it comes to UEFA Champions League matches. Led by Marco Reus, the black and yellow team sealed their spot in the next round of the European tournament after defeating Galatasaray 4-1.
Borussia had a hard time opening Galatasaray's well placed defense, but managed to go ahead on the scoreboard with a goal by Marco Reus, who was assisted by Polish Lukas Piszczek just at the 39-minute mark.
After the break, Sokratis Papastathopoulos increased Dortmund's lead, but Galatasaray fought back after Hakan Balta's goal after 62 minutes. This was the first goal conceded by German goalkeeper Roman Weidenfeller in this tournament.
After 73 minutes, Ciro Immobile came off the bench to score the game's third goal, putting things almost out of reach for the Turkish side. To make matters worse, Semih Kaya scored in his own net to give Borussia a commanding lead.
With this result, Borussia Dortmund have almost won their Group, while Galatasaray killed their chances to continue in this tournament.
Read below some comments regarding Dortmund's European performance.
This is all apart of Jurgen Klopp's evil plan to win the Champions League while being relegated to the 2.Bundesliga.
