The Red Devils have been keen on bringing him to Old Trafford, and they just might finally be able to sign Vidal from Juventus.

Like a soap opera, the transfer speculation surround Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal has many parts. It was widely reported that Manchester United were really looking to sign him from the reigning Scudetto champions this summer, only to be thwarted by a combination of the Bianconeri's asking price and Louis Van Gaal's uncertainty about the player's fitness due to a knee problem.

The Chilean star himself had pledged his loyalty to La Vecchia Signora shortly after, which appeared to appease the fans. But then, he was apparently involved in a scuffle outside a nightclub and apparently fined as Massimiliano Allegri opted to drop him from the starting XI against Roma. Both Vidal and Allegri, though, have quickly moved to downplay any controversy and the 27-year-old has in fact accused the media of blowing things out of proportion.

Still, new reports claim that behind the scenes, Juventus are preparing to part ways with the man who has grown into a fan favorite due to his all-action displays in the middle of the pitch. As per Italian reports, there appears to be "a rift between the player and the club and [the overall] impression that Vidal's time in Turin has come to an end."

Yet the same source, FIFA agent Giorgio Boscarato was quick to point out that he "could leave in January, but it will depend on the offer that they receive." He also mentioned that Fiorentina's Juan Cuadrado could be brought in with the funds received from a Vidal sale, yet conceded that "it would be difficult to pry him away from [the Viola]."
